Chatham County Alternative Transportation Demand Study RFP

Chatham County is seeking proposals from a qualified consulting firm, or team of firms, with a strong background in community engagement, qualitative data analysis, and relevant experience in conducting studies pertaining to regional planning, transportation, bicycle-pedestrian design, and multi-modal transit system equity to develop an alternative transportation demand (ATD) study for the county. This project will utilize community engagement to gauge transportation needs and demand, develop projections for future needs and demand, and provide stakeholders with recommendations on how to ensure the future conditions meet the projected needs of the community.

Town of Huntersville Pottstown Community Preservation Plan RFQ

The Town of Huntersville seeks Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) from consulting firms in response to the specifications outlined in the request to create a Pottstown Community Preservation Plan.

The deliverable for this project is a small area plan that is based on significant community participation and offers recommendations on the following:

  • Housing stabilization and preservation;
  • The provision of community infrastructure and services; and related needs or opportunities
  • Environmental issues that may affect quality of life and health;
  • Appropriate land uses;
  • Future growth and development within the study area.

Partners for Green Growth Cost-Share

Partners for Green Growth is a cost-share funding resource offered by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission’s (NCWRC) Green Growth Toolbox program. The goal of Partners for Green Growth is to provide support for local government planning projects that consider wildlife and natural resource conservation in land use and development planning, incentives, and ordinances. For projects that qualify, the Partners for Green Growth program will reimburse cost-share funds of $10,000 to $20,000 and will provide 80 hours of technical assistance from North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) wildlife biologists. Projects that request funds up to $10,000 are preferred so that we may fund more projects. The funding request can only be up to 75 percent of the entire project cost and 25 percent non-federal in-kind match is required (details in application attached) to make up the remaining total project cost. The Project Ideas Submission form is due April 24, 2024. Full applications are by invitation only. Invited applications will be due May 16th. Applicants that qualify to submit a full application will be notified by August 30th. All projects should begin by July 1st or October 15th and be completed in 18 months or less ahead of completing a full application and questions about this cooperative agreement. Partners for Green Growth Cost-Share

Town of Butner Gate 2 Road/Central Avenue Corridor Study

The Town of Butner (Granville County) is requesting qualifications for a Gate 2 Road Central Avenue Corridor Infrastructure Study. The study area is from Will Suitt Road and Gate 2 Road to Central Avenue and Westbrook Drive. The Town is seeking a firm that will inventory the existing study area and provide ideas on roadway design, stormwater, utilities, landscaping, and corridor beautification. Proposers should have a multi-disciplinary approach in engineering, stormwater, planning, transportation, and landscape architecture. Submittals are due by 5:00 pm April 22, 2024.
