Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide planning and analytical support, including development plan reviews and project coordination
- Review recorded maps, site plans, and zoning permits while managing non-construction permit processes
- Facilitate communication and project collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Research and analyze planning data to prepare reports, maps, and presentations
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to land development processes and permitting procedures
- Serve as a liaison to community groups and support meaningful citizen engagement initiatives

Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in planning or public administration or field directly related degree to assignment and two years of related professional planning experience
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

- Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, and regulations

- Competence in using modern office technology and specialized planning tools
ADA and Other Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
