Three Oaks is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Transit Planner to help shape transit solutions that enhance mobility, strengthen communities, and respect the environment. As a Transit Planner, you will contribute to meaningful transit projects that address immediate and future mobility needs. Your typical day may include:

• Assisting other planners with data collection and analysis.
• Contributing to plan development.
• Participating in community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
• Preparing technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Meeting project goals and deadlines efficiently and on time.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, planning, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
• 1-5 years of transit planning, multimodal transportation planning, or related planning experience. Advanced degrees count 1 year toward professional experience.
• Familiarity with transit and multimodal planning principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with data collection and analysis using spatial, demographic, environmental, or other data sources. Experience contributing to transit plans or studies, a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with software and tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with planning-related software (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Remix, Streetmix, Canva, or related software), a plus.
