THE BRUNSWICK COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT IS HIRING! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALIFIED INDIVIDUAL FOR THE POSITION OF PLANNER I OR II (DOQ). Brunswick County is a vibrant coastal community located in southeastern North Carolina with approximately 47 miles of idyllic beaches and an abundance of quaint countryside. This position is completes professional planning work at a moderate level. The position will processes and reviews a variety of planning-related requests and regularly works with the public on planning-related issues. The position’s focus is to review development proposals for conformance with specific planning programs, plans, and/or ordinances and to provide technical assistance and information to staff and to the public. Must possess valid Driver’s License and general computer skills including internet, Microsoft Office, GIS, and Excel spreadsheets. Reports directly to Duputy Planning Director.
