The Triangle region continues to experience unprecedented growth, producing a need for infrastructure improvements that offer a range of travel choices and are compatible with the character and development of our communities, sensitive to the environment, designed to improve quality of life, and are safe and accessible for all. The Capital Area MPO (CAMPO) works at the heart of identifying, planning, and implementing those improvements. This position will perform regional multi-modal transportation planning. This job may supervise subordinate staff and/or be expected to lead teams of staff and provide direction and supervision related to the management of specific projects. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Deputy Director. Tasks include coordinating with MPO member agencies on transportation plans and project development, providing leadership on large and small regional multi-modal planning studies, coordinating with NCDOT on TIP project development, public engagement design and deployment, and other advanced planning activities.

After a successful six-month in-office probationary period, this position would be eligible for a hybrid in-office/telework schedule per the MPO's telework policy.
