The Senior Planner role provides a variety of complex planning functions and are considered subject matter experts with duties that include but are not limited to the management of long-range citywide, neighborhood, and corridor planning projects, lead case management for rezoning, and annexation cases, with an eye on business process improvement projects, statistics, and analytics. Senior Planners also participate in and manage public engagement efforts, handling multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, Senior Planners review and validate data, drafts reports and summaries of projects for the department and act as a department liaison to other City and public offices.
