The Town of Carrboro has an opening for a Transportation Planner I, II, or III. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a progressive jurisdiction and become involve in a number of different projects such as:   

• Assist with the implementation of the recently adopted comprehensive plan and updated bicycle plan
• Assist with the design of federally funded transportation projects such as greenways and sidewalks, coordinate with NCDOT to consider lane allocations as part of state resurfacing projects and smaller Town infrastructure projects.
• Provide staff support to local transportation advisory boards, help represent the Town on regional transportation boards.

Salary Range: dependent on experience

• Planner I - $61,328 to $95,022
• Planner II - $64,394 to $99,772
• Planner III - $67,614 to $104,761
