The Town of Pine Knoll Shores is seeking an experienced and dedicated Town Planner to join our Planning and Inspections Department.

The Town Planner performs professional planning and administrative work related to community development, land use, zoning, code enforcement, and planning activities. This position provides staff support to the Planning Board, Appearance Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Board of Commissioners and works closely with residents, developers, engineers, architects, attorneys, and other community partners.

• Project management and storm damage assessment
• Public education and assistance regarding applicable regulations

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in leadership, management, human resources, GIS, research methods, political science, or planning and six or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid North Carolina driver’s license is required.

Salary & Application Information

Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
